What those in staffing and tech have known for years is now more recognized around the nation and globe: Atlanta is the next Silicon Valley.
The Guardian recently discussed why British companies are expanding to Atlanta. The 50 Southeast colleges and universities with 250,000 students are attractive to recruiters and Silicon Valley is seen as a “technology monoculture.” Atlanta’s startups are spread across the city, while Silicon Valley’s are in a tight cluster. Lastly, large corporations like IBM are encouraging Atlanta’s smaller businesses.
When thinking where the next great startup will come from, don’t shortchange Atlanta’s tech scene – Britain isn’t.
