Joe Murphy, veteran of two wars, grandfather, attorney, entrepreneur and tireless flirt to legions of ladies, entered that large Irish pub in the sky Sunday.
A consummate extrovert, he gave away much of what he earned or owned to those in need, never met a lady he didn’t like or a tale he couldn’t enhance. On visits to his restaurant and dairy clients, he’d call all the female workers by name.
Each day at lunchtime, he’d be found on his favorite stool at his son’s Virginia-Highland restaurant, Murphy’s, doling out large doses of Irish blarney to all who would listen.

Amen! What an incredibly wonderful spirit, who never seemed to have a bad day and made everyone he encountered have a better one!
