The Oscar nominees are in, and the 92nd annual Academy Awards predictions are a toss-up.
Two locally filmed movies were recognized: “Avengers: Endgame” was nominated for best visual effects and Kathy Bates for best supporting actress in “Richard Jewell.” Atlanta native Don Sylvester also earned a sound editing nomination for “Ford v Ferrari.”

- Actor: Joaquin Phoenix, “Joker.”
- Supporting actor: Brad Pitt, “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.”
- Actress: Renée Zellweger, “Judy.”
- Supporting actress: Laura Dern, “Marriage Story.”
