What the COVID-19 vaccine means for Georgians

by The 100 Companies

As we enter the new year, both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines have officially been granted emergency use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration and have begun shipping out nationwide.

Georgia is currently in Phase 1 focusing on healthcare workers at hospitals and long-term care facilities and nursing home residents. First responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers and Georgians age 65 and older will be eligible next, likely around mid-January.

For the most up-to-date information on the vaccine and distribution, visit the Department of Public Health vaccine dashboard to view the number of enrolled providers, vaccines administered and more.
