A Jewel of a treehouse near Asheville

You’re just five miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and eight miles from downtown Asheville when you stay in the Carolina Jewel treehouse.

Custom built by The Treehouse Guys, who are featured on the DIY Network show, the treehouse has one bedroom and two bathrooms with heated tile floors, plus an outdoor shower. There’s also a sleeper sofa on the main level, a gas fireplace, high speed wifi and a gourmet kitchen.

My favorite feature is the huge deck built around trees that has a grill, plenty of seating and beautiful views.
