The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is offering $1,000 bonuses to add 6,000 new agents with air travel demand rising. Some US airports are advising passengers to arrive three hours early, now is the time to qualify for TSA PreCheck.
TSA PreCheck requires a minor background screening in order to use the designated security lines available at most US airports.
Lines move quickly as passengers don’t have to remove shoes, belts, jackets or laptops. The cost is $85 for five years, and TSA reports 97 percent of the June 2021 PreCheck passengers waited five minutes or less to go through security.
