Best US hotels of 2017

A Hotel

Some survived hurricanes. One suffered damage and is still rebuilding with hopes to open soon. One made headlines in the New York Post because of the naughty behavior of its guests in full view of irate residents nearby.

My list of my favorite hotels includes two new hotels built in historic buildings in Boston and New York, and others sprawled on thousands of acres of land in Georgia, Virginia and Alabama. Several are on the coast of Florida, including one in St. Augustine, and two completely different sister properties in Miami, one quirky and fun, the other elegant and sophisticated.
