Perhaps because we live in a grand era of yoga pants, we are even more fascinated by the elegant, elaborate outfits worn by the characters in “Downton Abbey.”
The exhibition “Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times” displays 36 of these costumes in context of the changing social structure of Great Britain around the time of World War I. After traveling throughout the country, the exhibition makes its last stop in the Grand Ballroom of the historic Lightner Museum in St. Augustine October 4–January 7.
Events include talks, dinners and traditional High Teas at Café Alcazar in the museum.
