The Georgia Aquarium is taking big strides in accessibility, offering scuba diving experiences for individuals of all physical and cognitive abilities with expertly trained staff and custom-designed facilities. All staff are Scuba Certified Dive Masters and Instructors with certification and training dedicated to helping people of all abilities experience their magnificent marine diving adventures.
Additionally, in 2018 Georgia Aquarium became the first aquarium designated as a Certified Autism Center. It was also named KultureCity’s Sensory Inclusive Venue of the Year for training over 80% of staff and volunteers last fall.
