The weather is cooling down, the leaves on the canopy of Atlanta’s trees are starting to change and it’s time to spend more time outdoors. For a fall weekend spent building a fire, getting cozy and camping out, head to these nearby spots.
A little outside the city, Sweetwater Creek Campsite features yurt and tent spaces, and access to historic mill ruins if you’re up for a short hike.
On the other side of the perimeter, book a night at Stone Mountain Park Campground. Some camp spaces overlook Stone Mountain Lake – sure to be a picturesque view on fall mornings.
