Hartsfield-Jackson Airport now testing biometric eGates

by The 100 Companies

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is among the first to pilot CLEAR biometric “eGates” with TSA. The technology was launched last month in anticipation of surging travel for the 2026 World Cup.

The system allows travelers to use facial recognition technology to match their ID and boarding pass, enabling them to bypass the traditional TSA identity check podium in approximately three to six seconds.

The eGates are available exclusively to CLEAR+ members, who opt in to the service for around $209 annually to expedite the verification process at airports. TSA will still retain full control over gate access and security decisions.
