This Saturday, Sept. 21, marks the third annual National CleanUp Day. The national effort began in 2017, with the mission of cleaning up the world around us simply by picking up trash. Started by the organization Clean Trails, the initiative partners with nonprofits and community organizations throughout the nation.
There are essentially three ways to get involved. The first is joining a cleanup by heading to the website to sign up for one nearby. Second, you can start your own cleanup, also through the website. Lastly, just head outside and pick up some litter – sadly, it’s not hard to find.
