Disney has found a market in recreating classic films the past few years, from 2015’s “Cinderella” to the recently released “The Lion King.” Here’s our take on the new computer-animated pride land.
The good? The movie includes iconic moments viewers remember from the original such as the “Circle of Life” opening, Simba being lifted over the land and his aging during “Hakuna Matata.”
The different? Nala has a larger role in the story, new songs are added, select old songs are edited and there’s a reference to “Beauty and the Beast.”
Overall, “The Lion King” fulfilled our childhood expectations.
