2019 Chevy Camaro SS hides a secret under the hood

The 2019 Camaro SS starts at $37,495, the same as a new Audi A4. At first glance, it’s hard to tell why. It features a functional but not fancy interior, a tough ride and gets city mpg in the teens.

But open the hood, and all makes sense. The SS features the same engine as a $60k Corvette: Chevy’s legendary 6.2L V8. The Camaro SS, in many ways, is just a Corvette with four seats.

Visibility and practicality may deter a lay audience, but for muscle car enthusiasts, the “four-seater Corvette” is a bit of a bargain.
