Initiative’s goal to plant 100 million trees

by

Eighteen million acres of forest are lost around the world to raging wildfires, insects, disease, climate change and more each year. In order to combat this loss and honor the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day, the Arbor Day Foundation has launched the Time for Trees initiative. The mission is simple: plant 100 million trees worldwide by 2022.

To tackle the hefty goal, the foundation is planning to mobilize 5 million tree-planting corporate and nonprofit partners, as well as volunteers, over the next three years to work within communities and get the job done. To get involved, visit this link.
