Before heading out to visit loved ones during the holidays, don’t forget to check your home security list twice. Here are a few tips to keep someone from stealing more than your Christmas cheer.
• Stay offline: Don’t get too detailed in social media updates. Posting you’re at grandma’s house for the week alerts potential thieves when the house is empty.
• Leave a light on: Set timers to lights and TVs to make it appear someone is home at varying times.
• Goin’ postal: Submit a hold at the post office to avoid having mail and packages pile up at the door.
