How often does building a parking deck create more green space? This is the reality for Grant Park Gateway Project. The $48 million facility will add 1,000 parking spaces to the city’s oldest park, while providing four new acres of greenery.
The four-story deck, which is taking the place of an empty lot, will double the current parking spaces next to Zoo Atlanta and feature stunning rooftop green space, designed by master planner and landscape architect HGOR. The rooftop will also be home to a 4,000-square-foot restaurant with partial proceeds going back into the park.
