For many young women from low-income families, buying a brand-new dress for a school dance is not a possibility. Hoping to change this, Sam Sisakhti, founder of UsTrendy, launched the Believe in Yourself Project last year.
The Believe in Yourself Project is dedicated to helping underprivileged girls across the country by providing them with unworn designer dresses to wear at school functions. The nonprofit is also part of a broader initiative to promote positive body image and confidence through mentoring programs and speaker events.
The team will be making its first donation trip to Atlanta on April 25.
