I always enjoy watching the Olympics, and the 2016 games have been no different. I’m proud to say New South Construction had a part in the preparations for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics by constructing the Lake Lanier Olympic Park, site of the rowing and canoe/kayak events.
Still in use today for international rowing and kayak events, the venue was recently renovated to bring some “Olympic spark” back to the site.
It’s impressive the park is still functioning today, considering that some venues like Centennial Olympic Stadium (more commonly known today as Turner Field) are headed into their third life.
