The base Tesla Model S 70D starts at $70k sans incentives. The seemingly identical P90DL starts at an eye-watering $120k. Neither price includes extra features like autopilot or smart suspension.
Where did that $50k go? The P90DL’s sporty red brake calipers offer a hint.
The P90DL is the world’s fastest sedan, blitzing from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds: the same as a $1.1 million McLaren P1. From personal experience, it’s a heart-stopping thrill made eerie by the lack of noise – surely a fun trick for terrifying passengers, but I’d settle for a 90D for $30k less.
