As I’ve written before here, I’m a Southerner by birth and choice and it’s time we as a region pivot. The Atlanta History Center thinks we should put these memorials in context – not mothballs.
Atlanta was the Confederacy’s transportation center. We were the center of the civil rights movement. In our current era of anger, fear, terrorism and random shootings, it’s time Atlanta led again. Our God wants us to love, not hate. Can we lead the world in that?
