It is officially strawberry season in Georgia and while the season varies depending on the climate and region of the country, in Georgia it runs from late April to early July with the best picking opportunities from May to mid-June.
Atlanta has several nearby spots to harvest strawberries and get that “Instagrammable” shot (because that is what makes this a guilty pleasure after all). Make a day of it and travel to North Georgia for Burt’s Farm or Mercier Orchards or stay close by and visit Southern Belle Farm or Narrow Way Farm, both in McDonough, to get your fix.
