2020 has been rough, but there are still reasons for celebrations, including for one of America’s favorite foods during National Pizza Month in October.
In 1984, National Pizza Month was created by Pizza Today founder Gerry Durnell in honor of the magazine’s first issue. In 1987, the U.S. Congress officially designated October as National Pizza Month, and Americans have been celebrating by indulging in ooey-gooey cheese, a variety of toppings and mouthwatering crusts ever since.
Looking for ways to celebrate in Atlanta? Head to Varuni Napoli, rated the best pizza in town, or Plant Based Pizzeria for vegan options.
