A Night at Cooks & Soldiers

by

We knew we’d made the right choice for our anniversary dinner when the waiter poured us a nice glass of Champagne in celebration. Named for an annual festival in San Sebastian, Spain, where people dress as one or the other, Cooks & Soldiers specializes in tapas-like pintxos and dishes prepared on the asador, a wood-fired grill.

Our selection of dishes included pan-seared scallops with sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts, Georgia white shrimp, and a kale salad with spaghetti squash and fried onions.

The restaurant is celebrating the annual festival, La Tamborrada, with an event tonight, starting at 6PM.
