February festivals include rodeo, book festival and Black history

Here are a few festivals to check out in February:

Savannah Black Heritage Festival at the Savannah Civic Festival runs from Feb. 1-29. All events are free and include lectures, jazz concerts and a Grand Festival Day.

Georgia National Rodeo is Feb. 22-24 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter in Perry. Events include bareback riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing. Tickets start at $35 a day and will be available in early February.

The Savannah Book Festival, Feb. 15-18, includes three ticketed headline address events and Festival Saturday, which is free and features more than 30 authors on three squares.
