Delta variant causes Atlanta events to buckle down

In light of the recent surge in Delta variant COVID-19 cases, several popular Atlanta events and music festivals have started to implement new safety precautions.

Atlanta staples Music Midtown and Shaky Knees will now require festival-goers to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within three days of the event. Several Atlanta music venues are following suit — Variety Playhouse, Terminal West and The Eastern will require all patrons to be fully vaccinated starting Oct. 1. 

The Fandemic Dead Tour comic-con event has been postponed until March 2022, while this year’s Taste of Atlanta festival has been canceled.
