The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) recently announced that there will not be an increase in tuition rates for the 2021-2022 academic year. Students at USG’s 26 institutions will pay the same tuition previously paid for the current academic year.
In an effort to make public education more affordable, this is the second consecutive year that the Board of Regents approved no increase in tuition rates.
With this announcement, USG now has the third-lowest median in-state tuition fees for undergrads at four-year colleges among the 16 states that comprise the Southern Regional Education Board.
