Don’t you just hate it when a wedding is interrupted by a corn crisis? That’s the issue facing Maizy and Beau in the musical comedy “Shucked,” playing at the Fox Theatre May 20-25.
The play received nine Tony nominations, including Best Musical, for the 2022-23 Broadway season, and won for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
The score is by the Grammy Award-winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally and the book is by Tony Award winner Robert Horn. It is directed by Jack O’Brien, who received the 2024 Special Tony Award For Lifetime Achievement in The Theatre.
