Hosted annually by the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, ELEVATE will take place Sept. 10-Oct. 31 in various locations around the city. The temporary public art program aims to invigorate the Atlanta area through visual art, performances and cultural events. The goal of the program is to enhance the city’s cultural offerings by providing free experiences that highlight the unique features of Atlanta.
Since launching in 2011, ELEVATE has sparked conversations regarding the importance of cultural districts in city planning and urban design. ELEVATE is working with various cultural organizations and businesses throughout Atlanta and with eight metro neighborhoods.
