Midtown Alliance has launched “Heart of the Arts,” expanding on the creative experience in Midtown, an area known as a hub for visual and performing arts.
The exhibit features temporary artwork from emerging artists along empty storefronts between Peachtree Street (between 5th and 10th Streets), Peachtree Place and 10th Street. Seven spaces come alive with vibrant murals, sculptures and video installations through March.
The next program phase will focus on residencies, providing workspaces for six to 18 months, to give artists a foundation to build creative space in Midtown. Artists’ work will also be featured during special programming and events.
