Some of my best summer memories in Atlanta are of lounging in Piedmont Park, listening to the wonderful Atlanta Symphony Orchestra perform.
The free concerts return this year, with “Performance on The Promenade,” located in the northwest corner of the park, June 12, 19 and 26 at 7:30 p.m.
While admission is free, you do need tickets for the first-come, first-served seating, which will be made available online only at aso.org at 10:00 a.m. the Friday prior to each of the concerts, led by guest Conductor Gemma New of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and ASO Assistant Conductor Joseph Young.
