Too Much Information

by admin

“Too much information” is a common response when the listener thinks a comment is too personal to share.

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram provide endless personal information. Perez Hilton, Matt Drudge and online publications give us constant gossip and news.

The same applies to workplace colleagues, who have a voracious appetite for information about the enterprise – down to minutia.

Frequent updates on progress and projects are critical. Reminders of the economic model and big picture are important. The bravest tool may be open Q&A sessions.

A good manager understands in the workplace, there is no such thing as “too much information.”
