Martin Luther King Day is Jan. 18, and in his adoptive hometown of Atlanta, there are plenty of ways to celebrate. While community service is a common option, it’s certainly not the only one.
The King Center is hosting virtual programming that continues throughout the weekend, concluding with a wreath-laying on Monday afternoon. The Atlanta History Center is offering several virtual options, or make plans to visit the Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta.
If you’d prefer to observe the holiday by getting outside and being active, the MLK Day 5k takes place at Stone Mountain Park.
