On Monday, Jan. 20, people across the nation will pause and reflect on the influential life that Martin Luther King Jr. led. In Atlanta, we hold this day very near to our hearts, as this is King’s hometown, and his actions are still felt throughout the city today.
Here are a few of many Atlanta events scheduled to honor him:
• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commemorative March/Rally.
• Teach children during the Children’s Museum of Atlanta Birthday Celebration.
• Visit The King Center and National Historic Site.
• Participate in a volunteer opportunity.
• Enjoy no-cost admission to all National Park Service sites.
