On May 17, MARTA is moving forward with a $230 million transformation of its Five Points Station, the system’s busiest transit hub. The first phase of the project will include removing the station’s old concrete canopy and introducing natural light and fresh air to enhance the station’s ambiance. Future upgrades will feature a new canopy, centralized bus hub, public art and community spaces. The renovation aims to improve connectivity and reduce the need for surface parking downtown.
The project is expected to continue through 2028, with service continuing during construction. For more information, including service and route updates, visit here.
