Atlanta broadcasting legend Monica Pearson to join AJC

Iconic Atlanta broadcaster Monica Kaufman Pearson will soon join The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) to host a new video and podcast program. Pearson will also host AJC live events in addition to writing a regular lifestyle column and newsletter for both the newspaper and its website.

Pearson served as Atlanta’s first Black female evening anchor, spending 37 years at WSB-TV from 1975-2012, and currently hosts her own show on Peachtree TV.

Pearson has won 33 regional and local Emmy awards and stands in the halls of fame of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, the National Association of Black Journalists and more.
