To give or not to give at the office

Finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list can be stressful. Add in whether or not to pick out something for co-workers and even the jolliest person might turn into a Scrooge.

Here’s a handy rule of thumb to go by: Given the changing landscape of modern workplaces, it’s recommended to skip over individual gifts for the boss, instead pooling together for a group gift.

If you have direct reports, consider something small and thoughtful to set the tone for the season. For co-workers, avoid anything too personal; a small gift such as baked goods is acceptable.
