Plain and simple, money drives our political system.
But one presidential hopeful wants to change the status quo. As president, Larry Lessig’s first act would be signing sweeping finance reforms into law to restore citizen equality. As his second act, he would resign, turning over the country’s reigns to a more qualified VP now unburdened from hollow promises to wealthy donors.
But since using Super PACs to fund his campaign would be hypocritical, Lessig is instead turning to crowdfunding. In true “All or Nothing” Kickstarter fashion, Lessig will only run for president if he raises $1 million by Labor Day.
