In the Atlanta tech world, a one-hit wonder won’t survive. General Assembly and Burning Glass Technologies released a report concluding hybrid jobs, such as user-experience designers, are reigning in the tech field.
Individuals that have business and “offline skills,” such as marketing or design, are driving economic growth and in high demand. Web designers, previously a tech career powerhouse, grew only 11 percent in the past three years while demand for data and marketing analytics roles more than doubled.
The pay off is worth it. Salaries range from $65,000 to $110,000 – well above the national average for an IT role.
