In his novel 1984, George Orwell envisioned a disturbing dystopian future, many elements of which have come to fruition in recent years. Similarly, the 1989 summer blockbuster Back to the Future Part II accurately predicted a world with 3D movies, flying drones and video chat.
We are now just one year away from the film’s October 2015 setting but there is still one prediction I’m anxiously awaiting: the hoverboard.
While I may not be unwrapping a hoverboard on Christmas 2015, I could be zipping around at 21 MPH on the Kickstarter-backed Electric Bubblegum skateboard, invented by Atlantan Andrew James.
