If there is one thing that Georgians have become too used to in recent years, it’s long seasonal droughts. With Atlanta continuing to find itself on the who’s who lists of population growth, this has led to less and less of the Chattahoochee finding its way down river.
To bring attention to the “Water Wars” that are brewing as a result, brothers David and Michael Hanson filmed their 2013 canoe voyage down the Chattahoochee in which they documented the landscapes and people affected by the drying waterway. After some post-production funding from Kickstarter, their film is now available for purchase.
