I used to think I was a word guy. Lately I’ve developed a thing for numbers.
20 years ago, I started a newspaper called Atlanta 30306, mailing it to 10,000 neighbors in that ZIP, placing 10,000 in stores and boxes.
2 years later, we started Atlanta 30305. The newspaper company grew to 100,000 copies. For years, people would say, “Oh, you’re the 30306 guy.”
We’ve now emailed 25 issues of The Atlanta 100 to 15,000 readers. Last week, at the Metro Atlanta Chamber event at King & Spalding (view our slideshow above), I found out I’ve developed a new nickname:
