“Business is 30% patience.” A commendable, but unattributed quotation. Patience is a necessary virtue in any enterprise.
Managers set goals, craft strategies to achieve them and communicate those goals and strategies in the hope that everyone will work together. And then we all wait. And wait.
Business goals are long-term, and progress isn’t always discernable. Patience can become elusive and the enterprise restive.
Managers must communicate progress and achievement of milestones to employees, acknowledging those responsible for each success. If an enterprise loses Patience, it must rely on her partner, Faith. And those two ladies work much better in tandem.
