Researchers at Harvard followed 268 men over the course of their lives from the 1930’s to old age. Their 72-year study of happiness led to the conclusion that the #1 indicator of our happiness is our relationships.

So here’s my #1 tip for geting a jolt of joy in the next five minutes.

Given our complicated, busy lives, there’s probably a good friend you haven’t spoken to in months. Stop what you’re doing and call that friend right now. Let your friend know you were thinking of and missing your friendship, and set up a coffee or Skype date.
