Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and other civil rights leaders set an example that impacted activism worldwide. As the next generation finds its voice, while facing extremism, inequality and racism, The King Center wants to ensure they have a chance to be the next “drum major[s] for peace.”
The N.O.W. (Nonviolence Opportunity Watch) Encounter, the Center’s summer youth camp, is open to students 13-18 and features an overnight trip to Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama, and nonviolent social change workshops. Participants can attend the June 21-26 or July 12-17 camps. Interested participants can click here to register and for more information.
