The Wren’s Nest

by admin

In honor of today’s Georgia Gives Day, the Wren’s Nest is hosting a flash campaign to raise funds to continue to support programs that preserve the legacy of Joel Chandler Harris, author of the Uncle Remus books, and the heritage of African-American folklore.

The Wren’s Nest also supports a number of programs to “develop the writers and storytellers of the future.” The Wren’s Nest Scribes Program and the High School Literary Journal Program focus on pairing mentors with Atlanta youth to create published works, which debut at the Decatur Book Festival.
