What if you met your attorney for the first time on the day of your trial? For the underprivileged, that is too often the case when they are appointed a public defender.
The Atlanta-area Public Defenders are sponsoring a viewing November 6 of “Gideon’s Army,” an HBO documentary on Gideon’s Promise, a nonprofit working to train public defenders to help bring justice to America’s poor.
