Audio time is an important development for kids and adults.
As children, we were reading books — forcing us to use our imaginations to visualize the story. For kids of this generation, we need to encourage them to do the same.
Instead of giving your child an hour of screen time, download an e-book and have them listen to it. After they finish, talk about the story and see what they comprehended.
While listening to music, a book or a podcast in the car, give everyone the challenge of listening for particular words and to shout out when they hear them.
