While there isn’t yet an official mandate from our governor to wear face masks in public, doing so to protect those around us has quickly become the right thing to do. We now know individuals carrying the COVID-19 virus, but not showing symptoms, have played a significant role in the virus’ spread.
Although cloth masks don’t offer the same level of protection as medical-grade masks, which should be reserved for frontline workers, they do offer germ-blocking benefits when one speaks, coughs or sneezes. It’s recommended to wear them in locations where social distancing can be difficult, such as grocery stores.
