Food festivals combine two of my favorite things and what could be better than one devoted to shrimp & grits? Southern Living presents its ninth annual Shrimp & Grits: The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival September 19-21 at Jekyll Island.
Friday night, guests can enjoy $3 Sample Night and pair shrimp dishes with craft beer tastings, available each night of the festival. The free festival will also feature cooking competitions, shrimp eating contests, live music, pony rides, family fun zone and an Extreme Trampoline Show.
All events are held in and around the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, 4.5 hours from Atlanta.
